The Family Interview
Not a test of political conformity. Not a reward for rehearsed answers.
The scholarship process includes a family interview involving the student’s parents or guardians — meant to understand how the family approaches:
Faith
Discipline
Honesty
Service
Parental Responsibility
Education
Failure
Ambition
Parents will be asked to explain the principles governing their household, the responsibilities they believe accompany opportunity, and the role they are prepared to play within the school community.
How Students Are Evaluated
Beyond present academic performance.
Students are evaluated not merely by their current academic performance, but by:
Curiosity
Work Ethic
Humility
Courage
Capacity for Growth
Treatment of Others
Seriousness of Purpose
Academic readiness may be considered to determine what support a student requires. It will not be used to exclude promising students merely because they have lacked access to exceptional education.
A scholarship is not a lowering of standards. It is an investment in a student and family whose character, potential, and commitment deserve access to the full opportunities of Verae Valores.
Every Vanguard
No student will be publicly identified by scholarship status.
Once admitted, scholarship students receive the exact same:

Athletics

The Founding Circle
This same discipline governs how the institution stewards its resources.
Verae Valores will operate as a nonprofit institution — no private distributions, with a defined portion of resources supporting charitable work through the Vanguard Impact Fund.
